What is the Intelligent Industry Pathway?

The Intelligent Industry pathway of the Accelerate programme is designed for talented graduates passionate about leveraging a human-centric approach to transform and reinvent our ways of working, our connection with each other and our customers and suppliers. The future of industry is intelligent and sustainable. Incremental change is no longer sufficient to cope with the disruption of value chains. To stay ahead, leading industrial companies must transform and contribute to the world’s sustainability agenda, rethink their entire value chain and look at the market with a new lens. Addressing fast paced technology disruption with Intelligent Industry means transforming innovation, design, manufacturing, supply chains and also services. It also means doing so at scale and sustainably to create more value for all stakeholders incl. the society, customers and employees.

Intelligent Industry is the evolution of industry 4.0, transforming products, operations and services into sustainable, connected, intelligent, data & insight driven ecosystems. Impacting sectors as diverse as Consumer Products & Retail, Energy & Nuclear, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Automotive, Services and more, unleashing new ways of doing business powered by data and technology.

The Focus of Your Role

As an Associate Consultant you will embark on a stimulating and exciting journey where you will develop key skills that influence how our clients evolve the way they work, perform and achieve their goals. You’ll have the opportunity to work on large scale transformation programmes. You will ensure the smooth delivery of end-to-end projects by working flexibly, demonstrating intellectual capability and delivering innovative solutions for clients. The day-to-day tasks can vary from engagement with senior stakeholders, conducting analysis of data or business requirements, designing business strategies through to delivering workshops and collaboratively working in cross-functional teams to drive continuous business performance improvement.

If you join the Intelligent Industry Academy, you will join one of these three teams based on your interests, passions, and experiences:

Intelligent Process Excellence

Optimising operational processes driving effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability – using leading technologies with core offerings in Business Analysis, Process Excellence and Automation to help our clients build intelligent products, operations, and services at scale with digital inside, digital continuity throughout lifecycle and digital convergence with its ecosystem.

Supply Chain

Our Supply Chain Transformation team redefines customer centricity through data-driven operations and supply chains. We design and implement supply chain solutions for clients across a range of industries that use digital technologies to deliver new levels of performance, service, resilience and flexibility. We work across every aspect of our clients supply chains to diagnose current performance and define a roadmap for the future to deliver sustainable solutions underpinned by digital solutions of today – creating Intelligent Supply Networks.

Digital Engineering and R&D

We transform traditional products and services into green, intelligent ones. Working closely with our market leading Capgemini Engineering global business line we improve productivity, compliance, and total expenditure, whilst reducing risk of Operations, through the use of PLM, digital continuity and intelligent operations.

What you will need

At Capgemini Invent, although academics form part of our overall hiring decision, we do not select candidates purely on academic performance. We will assess your suitability for a role using several tools including video interviewing and assessment centres (all currently being held virtually).

After graduating from ‘The Institute’, you will join the Intelligent Industry Academy. The team structure of the Intelligent Industry Academy is as follows:

Learning

Your first 3 months of the Accelerate Programme will be spent within The Institute, where you will learn core consulting skills and gain a broad understanding of everything we do at Capgemini Invent within a feed-back rich environment, you will then move into the Academy Period of the Accelerate Programme. When you enter the Intelligent Industry Academy, a heavy emphasis is placed on your development and being able to learn a variety of skills in a multitude of environments. Capgemini has an existing suite of trainings with 3600+ courses from 160+ internationally recognized universities to support your development across all industry critical topics.

During the programme you will benefit from wider learning opportunities and can choose from a suite of accreditations including:

Within the Intelligent Industry Academy there are a variety of roles that you may take on, that include but are not limited to:

As an Agile Business Analyst, you work as part of a multidisciplinary team, having responsibility for understanding client needs, and using Agile methodology to continue to define, adapt and build our client’s solutions.

As a Process Consultant you will be responsible for a understanding a specific client process/function/set of activities. You will understand how the client currently completes various business activities, conduct analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.

As a Functional Consultant you will advise our clients on best practices to drive synergy between the digital and the operational. You will deep dive into systems and technologies, and, using our partners and functional expertise, drive best practices and scalable operations.

As an Operating Model Consultant, you will work closely with stakeholders to design and build the future business model. You will identify our client’s target capabilities and develop a view of the required number of people, processes and skills to deliver these.

As a Scrum Master, you guide teams and organisations on how to use Agile/Scrum practices. You facilitate reviews, retrospectives, daily stand ups and planning meetings, working closely with the scrum team and stakeholders, dealing with blockers and impediments.
