Energy Transition & Utilities entry route

What is the Accelerate Energy Transition and Utilities Pathway

The Energy Transition & Utilities pathway of the Accelerate program is tailored for talented graduates who are passionate about helping clients navigate transformations in sectors such as Nuclear, Water, Energy Retail, Central Markets, Energy Networks, and Energy Transition. Our goal is to drive sustainable change by focusing on our clients’ future needs and creating business value through innovative solutions.

The Accelerate Programme consists of 2 parts:

  • The Institute (circa 3 months)
  • The Academy (circa 18 months)

Your first 3 months of the Accelerate Programme will be spent within The Institute, where you will learn core consulting skills and gain a broad understanding of everything we do at Capgemini Invent within a feed-back rich environment.

Following your time in The Institute, you will join the Energy Transition & Utilities Academy. The team structure of the Energy Transition & Utilities Academy is as follows

The Focus of Your Role

As an Associate Consultant, you will embark on an engaging and dynamic journey where you’ll develop essential skills that impact how our clients evolve their operations, performance, and goal achievement. You’ll have the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, from large-scale transformation programs to focused advisory assignments. Your role will involve ensuring the successful delivery of projects from start to finish by working flexibly, showcasing your intellectual capabilities, and providing innovative solutions for our clients.

Your day-to-day tasks can vary from:

  • Engagement with senior stakeholders
  • Conducting analysis of data or business requirements
  • Designing business strategies
  • Through to delivering workshops and collaboratively working in cross-functional teams to drive continuous business performance improvement.

What you will need

We are eager to hear from candidates with experience in the industries we serve and those who are enthusiastic about starting a career where they can make a significant impact. We seek individuals who are motivated to drive change and thrive in an environment that fosters innovation and transformation.

Ideally, you will have some, or all of the following:

  • A natural curiosity in Energy Transition & Utilities and how the sector will impact our future economies and communities as we strive for carbon neutrality

  • A desire to work with organisations to drive operational efficiency and customer experience improvements for their employees and customers
  • Familiarity with concepts and/or practical experience relating to digital transformation technologies

At Capgemini Invent, although academics form part of our overall hiring decision, we do not select candidates purely on academic performance. We will assess your suitability for a role using several tools including video interviewing and assessment centres (all currently being held virtually).

When you enter the Energy & Utilities Academy, a heavy emphasis is placed on your development and being able to learn a variety of skills in a multitude of environments.
