Recruitment process

Get the Future You Want by completing our 3-step recruitment process

• Applications reviewed on a first come, first served basis
• Submit your application as soon as possible
• We’ll keep you updated at every stage of the process

Step 1: Apply online

Submit your CV, cover letter and online application so that we can understand your motivation for working at Capgemini Invent and your chosen pathway, location, graduation date and preferred start date. This is the first insight we get of applicants, so it is a great opportunity to showcase yourself.

In the motivational questions, make sure you tell us what you want us to hear about you, especially any relevant knowledge and experience relating to the role. Applications are reviewed on a first come first served basis, so please do apply as soon as you can.

Step 2: Digital Interview

Answer a series of questions while on camera. CV’s do not always tell the full story so we are excited to get to know the real you.  This also gives you an opportunity to demonstrate your passion for Capgemini Invent and the role that you have applied for. We hope you enjoy our unique, digital assessment experience!

The prospect of a digital interview could seem quite daunting especially if this is the first time completing one. We have therefore created a digital interview demo which includes a great video featuring Ben, who works in our Early and Emerging Talent team, Ben shares what to expect in our Digital Interview. You are then given the opportunity to answer a series of mock digital interview questions. Don’t worry we won’t be reviewing the mock digital interview questions.

Step 3: Assessment Centre

Join us for a half-day engaging event consisting of a group exercise and a 1:1 strengths based interview. The assessment centre also includes ice breakers where candidates can get to know each other and a short presentation with more information around Capgemini Invent and the pathway that the candidates have applied to. Candidates will also have the opportunity to ask questions to assessors and graduate helpers.

Be authentic and true to yourself – we don’t hire replica individuals! You’re not competing against anyone else, in fact you’ll need to work together to be successful on the day! You may have an opportunity to have a graduate Mentor before your Assessment Centre to help you prepare and feel supported in this process.

Am I eligible?

At Capgemini Invent, although academics form part of our overall hiring decision, we do not screen out purely based on academic performance. We will assess your suitability for a role using several tools including video interviewing and assessment centres.

  • Achieved or are studying to achieve an undergraduate/ integrated master’s degree
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Lived in the UK for the past 3 years with no longer than 6 consecutive months residence outside of the UK during this period

Every member of the Accelerate Programme has a similar journey in their first 9 months, including induction and their time in the Institute. The first 3 months are designed to ensure you get an overview of the business. Month 4 is where individuals will then join their respective pathway’s specific academy up until the end of the 21-month programme. As the programme is designed around the entire 21-months (approximately), we would encourage members of the programme to stay in the same pathway until they graduate from their Academy. As a result, it is important that upon application you ensure you are comfortable with the pathway that you select.

Our salary is competitive in comparison to the industry standard.

The Accelerate programme is open to all individuals and are assessed on an individual-by-individual basis. There is no time restriction on when you graduated. An MSc degree does not mean preferential treatment over those who have a BSc.  Those who have ‘experience’ need to take a measured approach with their application e.g., don’t use the graduate scheme as a foot in the door – you may be better for an experienced hire role within Invent as there is no fast-track route.  When we spot these types of applications, we do email candidates to let them know about our experienced hire opportunities that may be more suitable.

Our website details the skills and interests that are best suited for each pathway. However, the decision as to which pathway you apply for and which you feel is best suited to your skillsets is down to you! If, upon review of your application, we feel that you may be more suited to a different Capability / Sector Unit, we may call you to discuss the possibility further.
