Our Journey Toward Gender Inclusion

At Capgemini India, our commitment to women’s inclusion has evolved into a comprehensive and purpose-driven journey:

  • 2007: We laid the foundation for change with the launch of the Women’s Council in India—focused on addressing gender-specific challenges and creating a nurturing environment for women’s personal and professional growth.
  • 2012: The global Women@Capgemini initiative was introduced when a group of passionate women leaders came together to shape a unified global strategy for gender inclusion across the organization.
  • 2013: Aligning with this global vision, the Women’s Council in India was reimagined as the Winspire Program, reinforcing our commitment to support and uplift women in all stages of their career journeys.
  • 2020: Marking a significant milestone, Capgemini India CEO, Aswin Yardi, signed the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), formalizing our pledge towards gender equality and the advancement of women in the workplace.

The Winspire Framework

  • Winspire is built on four strategic pillars—Recruit, Develop, Promote, and Retain—ensuring every woman at Capgemini has access to equal opportunities and a supportive ecosystem. Through strategic hiring interventions, targeted career development programs, and family-friendly benefits, we create space for women to grow, lead, and thrive.
  • Our initiatives are complemented by a deep focus on women’s health and wellbeing, aimed at supporting their long-term success in the workplace. Gender inclusion isn’t just a goal—it’s embedded in our culture and leadership vision to build a future-ready, inclusive organization.
