Lloyd’s Register in the UK has turned to Capgemini to accelerate its digital journey

Building on a long-standing relationship, Capgemini has been supporting Lloyd’s Register with its transformation into a digital business.

Exploiting key components of its next generation ADM offer, ADMnext, Capgemini has been tasked with migrating the company’s legacy applications and infrastructure to the cloud, to further enhance the agility of Lloyd’s Register and the services it provides to clients across the marine, shipping, construction, healthcare, and financial services sectors.

In addition to providing ongoing support for a large number of heritage as well as new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, Capgemini has designed and implemented a Microsoft Azure-based digital platform to provide an agile DevOps capability. The platform will enable Lloyd’s Register to retire and redevelop a sizeable proportion of its legacy application estate in the coming years, allowing it to focus on increasing agility, reducing operational risk and enhancing business productivity.

Taking advantage of its Microsoft Azure Expert accreditation and Azure Gold competency, Capgemini migrated servers from Lloyd’s Register’s data centre to Microsoft Azure. This unlocked for Lloyd’s Register significant infrastructure savings, transformed high-risk areas of the IT estate and provides improved agility and scalability through automation and modern tooling.
