Capgemini strengthens its position in enterprise AI with investment in the OpenAI Deployment Company

Paris, May 12, 2026 – Capgeminitoday announced an investment in the OpenAI Deployment Company, reinforcing its strategic partnership with OpenAI and strengthening its position at the centre of enterprise AI deployment globally. As organisations move from experimentation to scaled implementation, this investment further enhances Capgemini’s ability to help clients embed frontier AI into core operations, workflows, and business processes with speed, reliability, and measurable impact.

The OpenAI Deployment Company is a new entity designed to help organisations build and deploy AI systems they can rely on every day across their most important work. By extending OpenAI’s frontier deployment expertise into complex enterprise environments, it is intended to help accelerate the adoption of production-ready AI solutions where operational resilience, integration, and execution quality are critical.

As a leader in AI-powered enterprise transformation and a founding member of the OpenAI Frontier Alliance, Capgemini brings to the new entity, a differentiated combination of consulting, engineering, data, technology, operations, and change management capabilities, together with deep industry expertise. This positions the Group to support clients as enterprise AI spending shifts from pilot programmes to scaled deployment, helping organisations move beyond proof of concept and convert AI innovation into tangible business value.

“AI is becoming capable of doing increasingly meaningful work inside organisations,” said Denise Dresser, Chief Revenue Officer at OpenAI.“The challenge now is helping companies integrate these systems into the infrastructure and workflows that power their businesses. The OpenAI Deployment Company is designed to help organisations bridge that gap and turn AI capability into real operational impact.”

“Our investment in the OpenAI Deployment Company marks an important step in the evolution of our strategic partnership with OpenAI and reinforces Capgemini’s leadership in AI-powered enterprise transformation,” said Fernando Alvarez, Chief Strategy and Development Officer and member of the Group Executive Board at Capgemini. “As demand shifts from experimentation to enterprise-scale deployment, clients increasingly need partners that can combine frontier AI access with deep industry knowledge, transformation expertise, and the ability to integrate these technologies into critical business processes. We believe this strengthens our ability to support clients globally and to capture a greater share of the growing market for AI-enabled business transformation.”

As a founding member of the OpenAI Frontier Alliance, announced earlier this year, Capgemini is already working with OpenAI to help clients address the business, data, organisational, and systems integration barriers that often slow enterprise AI adoption. This new investment extends that collaboration by supporting the deployment of reliable AI systems directly into the workflows, controls, tools, and business processes clients depend on every day. It will also further strengthen Capgemini’s teams through closer access to OpenAI’s frontier research, product development, and deployment expertise.

The OpenAI Deployment Company is intended to enable, train, and partner with alliance members such as Capgemini to expand enterprise deployment capacity globally. By combining OpenAI’s frontier capabilities with partners’ transformation reach, implementation experience, client relationships, and operational scale, it is designed to accelerate the adoption of enterprise-grade AI across industries and geographies.
