What is it that you do?

I work as an Oracle Cloud PMO at Capgemini, collaborating closely with the Engagement Manager, Service Delivery Leads, and fellow PMOs. My role is centered on ensuring seamless project governance, accurate financial forecasting, and comprehensive reporting. This position allows me to work across diverse teams and stakeholders, enabling effective communication and upholding high standards in project delivery.

What does a day in the life look like for you?

Given the finance-focused nature of my role as a PMO, my day typically begins with refreshing financial reports and verifying that all necessary data is accurate and up to date. I also ensure that time forecasts are current and precise. Additionally, I review risks and operational items, ensuring they are appropriately updated, closed, or extended by the respective owners.

What opportunities have you had to shape your career at Capgemini?

I had the opportunity to attend a High Impact Communications course, which focused on enhancing communication skills both within the company and with clients. This training significantly boosted my confidence in communicating professionally and personally with colleagues, clients, and even friends. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to strengthen their communication abilities.

What did you study at university? How has this helped you in getting a job at Capgemini and in your role?

I studied Architecture at university but decided to pursue a different career path after graduating. My degree played a key role in helping me secure a position at Capgemini, as it highlighted my resilience and determination over the course of three years. Regardless of your field of study, Capgemini values your ambition and drive to grow and excel within the company.
