What is your favourite thing about working at Capgemini?     

My favorite thing about Capgemini is you get given so many opportunities to excel in your career, whether that be gaining new certifications, working with high profile clients as consultants or learning new skills with Capgemini Guilds.

What is your favourite Capgemini value and why?        

My favorite Capgemini value is honesty. It makes it much easier to have challenging conversations in the workplace, as you feel so much safer to express your feelings in a culture where honesty is promoted and a core value.

What does a day in the life look like for you?

A day in my life starts with a stand-up call, where people in the team share what they are working on for the day and we use the session to offer support to other members on the team.

We work as a team to work with the client to help deliver their data migration project by ensuring their new system has good data quality, everyone on the team is extremally helpful and we all collaborate together. We work with an Oracle database to profile data and create reports.

What did you study at university?

Business Information Technology (BIT), this has helped me with my role as it has given me prior knowledge on SQL which is a key part of my role where we profile data a lot of a Business Analyst and provide support to the developers. BIT helped me getting a job at Capgemini as I had already studied a variety of areas in IT such as coding and Data Analytics; by finding the role at Capgemini in Insights & Data – it was a perfect match!

What advice would you give to students looking to apply to Capgemini?

I think if you are looking to launch a career in the world of IT, then Capgemini is the perfect match as there are so many different technologies we get to experience, you can expose yourself to many different areas of IT.
