26 May 2016

Paris – Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has won a Skillsoft Innovation Award 2016 in the ‘Empowering Continuous Talent Development’ category. The award was given in recognition of Capgemini’s Embark Leadership Program, a platform that enables employees to build competencies and skills required to become senior leaders in the future. Capgemini was presented with the award at the recent Global Skillsoft Perspectives Conference held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Skillsoft Innovation Awards Scheme brings together global learning, talent and HR professionals from the fields of business, government and education, to recognise innovative ideas, powerful programs and inspiring leaders who are helping transform the corporate learning and talent management landscape.

The awards honor organisations that leverage Skillsoft and SumTotal Systems Solutions to create outstanding business value. Capgemini’s Embark Leadership Program is a learning journey designed for employees to build the competencies and skills required to become senior leaders in the future. It blends live and self-paced training modules to allow greater flexibility for learners, as well as support and guidance from peers and subject matter specialists.

Steven Smith, Corporate Vice President, Capgemini University Director said: “The recognition for Embark is a testimony to Capgemini’s ability to engage and develop our young leaders on a large scale through a Facilitated Virtual Learning Journey framework. The annual Skillsoft Perspectives Conference is an excellent opportunity for us to share and discuss our point of view and programs around corporate learning and development with other learning and talent management professionals from across the globe.”

“The Innovation Award winners this year have shown us they are truly transforming their organisational culture,” said Jerry Nine, COO, Skillsoft“We congratulate Capgemini for using the SumTotal platform in conjunction with Skillsoft content, to create a blended virtual learning journey targeted at budding leaders.
