The intelligence inside your product starts here.

Products are no longer defined by hardware alone. Vehicles gain new capabilities over the air. Medical devices respond to live data. Factories adapt in real time. Aerospace systems evolve long after launch.

Software-defined architectures are replacing hardware-centric product models, while IoT, 5G, and cloud connectivity are becoming standard requirements for any new product, whether a watch or a car. As more products run on software, AI is enabling more intelligent functionality and faster feature development. Customers now expect smart functionality and continuous improvements in all their products.

Every product now needs many engineering disciplines

Building intelligent products is hard. Scaling them without sacrificing quality, safety or speed is harder. Engineering teams must now integrate software, electronics, silicon, connectivity, sensors, AI, cybersecurity into a single compliant product – and manage them as an interconnected system throughout its lifecycle.

Traditional development models built around fixed hardware release cycles are struggling to keep pace. Intelligent products demand continuous software development, platform-based architectures and secure updates long after deployment. As technologies, interfaces, and product variants multiply, so do the risks of integration failure, delay and rising costs.

Organizations must manage this complexity while improving time to market, quality, safety and security.

Our solution: End-to-end engineering for intelligent products

At Capgemini Engineering, we combine deep technical expertise, AI-enabled engineering, DevSecOps, and global delivery at scale to help organizations build intelligent products faster, reduce complexity, and improve quality across the lifecycle. We enable products to keep evolving with new features and updates long after hardware is deployed.

We create the hardware foundation for intelligent products, from electronics and chip design through verification and post-silicon validation. Our hardware–software co-engineering, advanced architecture and semiconductor ecosystem expertise help improve performance, reduce risk, accelerate time to market and meet sovereignty requirements.

We build the intelligence layer that turns hardware into a differentiated product. We design and develop the OS, platform layers, middleware, embedded applications, user experience, embedded AI, and runtime sensor integration, enabling intelligence, high quality user experience, and long product lifecycles.

We turn devices – from routers to wearables to home appliances – into secure, seamless experiences that are easy for users to setup, connect to other devices, and manage through their lifetime. Our capabilities span Wi-Fi and device connectivity, edge intelligence, cloud services, cybersecurity, testing and certification, over-the-air updates and lifecycle support, ensuring products work reliably across devices, networks and real-world environments.
