Respect for Diversity

Our presence in more than 40 countries with employees representing 120 nationalities and speaking more than 100 different languages gives us a wealth of cultural diversity. Our diversity has many facets: gender, race/ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity/expression and age to include a few . Our definition also includes dimensions such as experience, personality, communication and working styles, all of which contribute to our diversity of thought.

Why Diversity is Important to Us

Our differences are a source of innovation and inspiration. They enable us to generate new ideas, anticipate market trends and be thought leaders in our chosen markets. Having a diverse workforce:

  • Equips us to understand today’s global marketplace and creatively respond to our clients’ needs
  • Creates an international platform that enriches our offering and services, and underpins the Collaborative Business Experience®
  • Helps us to better understand and adapt to the societies in which we operate

Capgemini subscribes to the UN Global Compact whose 6th principle states that “business should eliminate discrimination in respect of employment and occupation,” as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights principles.

Diversity Initiatives

Since 2004, we have driven a diversity agenda across the whole Group

At a global level, we support diversity by:

  • Identifying and selecting diverse employees according to objective, job-related criteria and unique skill sets
  • Providing a sound and fair working environment where staff can grow and develop
  • Supporting Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that drive our diversity agenda through grass-roots passion and initiatives
  • Leveraging diversity as a source for innovation and inspiration
  • Continuously reviewing and improving our HR practices and procedures
  • Identifying barriers or restrictions to diversity and taking action to remove them
  • Training and continuously educating line and HR managers
  • Communicating the spirit of our diversity policies and agenda to everyone within the company
  • Establishing measurements to monitor our diversity dimensions, how we recognize differences, and utilize diversity as a strength
