Examining the drive for sustainability within automotive

Expert insights on how to navigate the challenges and opportunities on the road to sustainability in the automotive sector.

In the automotive sector, sustainability used to be virtually synonymous with electrification. Now, however, it’s increasingly apparent that, while still pursuing transformation of the vehicle, OEMs must also fulfill much wider sustainability aspirations and commitments.

In the words of the UN, sustainability is about “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs.” And clearly, that involves much more than just cars.

At the same time, instead of viewing sustainability-related activity as just a necessary response to external pressures such as regulation, automakers are recognizing it as an opportunity to redefine their enterprise’s whole value proposition. But before they can succeed with this radical approach, companies know that they have many complexities to overcome.

To help our automotive clients confront these complexities and advance their sustainability strategies, we’ve interviewed 10 experts from across Capgemini Group. Please read our new experts Point of View to discover their practical insights, and at the same time sample Capgemini’s expertise across every aspect of automotive sustainability.
