Innovate to impact: Solutions for a changing world

We’re back with the ninth edition of L’Innovateur, Capgemini’s prestigious campus case challenge for India’s top nine business schools. As a flagship initiative of our E.L.I.T.E. General Management Program, this competition is designed to challenge future business leaders, foster innovation, and provide students with an authentic experience of solving real-world business problems.

About the challenge: 

Participants will be tasked with crafting innovative and practical solutions to pressing business challenges across a variety of industries. L’Innovateur offers a unique opportunity to leverage technology and business insights to solve complex problems while gaining first-hand exposure to the kind of work Capgemini specializes in and understanding what we look for in an E.L.I.T.E. candidate.

Participation:

  • Open to second-year business school students from nine premier business schools in India.
  • Students can apply in teams of three members, with all members belonging to the same institute.
  • One individual cannot be a member of more than one participating team.
  • After the first round, three teams from each institute will be shortlisted for the campus round.
  • Top 9 teams across all campuses will advance to the grand finale.
  • Details of the grand finale will be communicated to the shortlisted teams through their respective placement committees.

Submission details:

Fast-Track round:
A business decision-making simulation where participants navigate real-world business scenarios, respond to evolving challenges, and make strategic choices to achieve organizational objectives. Top-performing teams will earn direct entry into Round 2.

Round 1 – Executive summary submission: 
Teams must select one of the provided case studies and submit a two-slide PowerPoint presentation outlining their understanding of the challenge and proposed solution approach.

Round 2 – Detailed presentation submission: 
Three teams from each institute, along with Fast-Track qualifiers, will be shortlisted to submit a detailed 5-6 slide presentation and a supporting video explaining the business problem, research methodology, solution approach, innovation, and expected impact.

Grand finale: 
The top 9 teams across all participating campuses will compete in the Grand Finale and present their solutions to Capgemini senior leadership.

Rewards & opportunities:

  • Winning team: Prizes worth INR 3,00,000.
  • First runners-up: Prizes worth INR 2,25,000.
  • Second runners-up: Prizes worth INR 1,75,000.
  • Pre-Placement Interview (PPI) opportunities for national winners, runners-up, and exceptional candidates from other teams, subject to final placement criteria.

Terms and conditions:

  • Each team to have a maximum of three members from the same institute.
  • Communication will be sent to the qualifying teams for further rounds.
  • All decisions related to the event taken by Capgemini are final and no correspondence/ communication would be entertained from any entrant in this regard. Capgemini has the right to disqualify an entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has breached any of the competition rules.
