Curiosity is the key to growth – never stop asking questions

I am a developer in the SAP Data team. My role involves migrating data from ECC environment to SAP environment such as S4 HANA platform using Data Services. I ensure data is transferred accurately and efficiently to support our clients’ business operations.

What does a day in the life look like for you?

My day usually starts with daily team meetings to align tasks and priorities, updating progress, discussing any challenges with my team, and collaborating to find solutions. The rest of the day is focused on development work and continuous learning.

One thing I really appreciate is the flexibility to work from home, which helps me manage my time well and stay productive. When I’m on client site or in the office, the day often involves more in-person meetings and collaboration sessions which are great for building relationships and sharing ideas face-to-face.

I love the variety of opportunities to get involved beyond my day to day role, from working on outreach projects and initiative organising events and networking. ‘There’s a real sense of community and collaboration here’.

What is your favourite Capgemini value?

Freedom, I value the trust Capgemini places in us to own our work, make decisions and grow both personally and professionally.

What opportunities have you had to shape your career at Capgemini?

Capgemini has given me the chance to explore different aspects of my role beyond technical work. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in internal, and client facing projects, attend workshops to develop both technical and soft skills, and take ownership of my career path by pursuing certifications and mentoring support. I also got involved in graduate initiatives which helped me grow my confidence and network.

What did you study at university? How has this helped you in getting a job at Capgemini and in your role?

I studied at Birmingham City University where I developed a strong foundation in technology through Computer Science studies.

University gave me technical knowledge and project experience that helped me stand out during the application process. It also helped me build confidence in working on real-world problems.
