What will the student do during their placement:

  • The student will take part in a Capgemini Business &/or Technology Focused week.
  • Working with Capgemini employees and other students to solve a business or technology problem.
  • Exposure to business covering areas like project management, finance, consultancy, tools for communications.
  • Employment skills development e.g., presentation skills, communications, teamwork, analysing data, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Students will gain confidence and knowledge of the employment marketplace plus an understanding of the post school routes open to them and what employers look for at the next stage of their education/career.
  • The week will be led by a mixture of senior executives and more junior team members so that the young people can learn to interact with all manner of professional people.
  • We will also cover off our industry and key roles in our organisation.

Company Risk Assessment – are the activities high risk?

  • The work experience is low risk, Capgemini has H&S leads who support all visits to our offices.
  • For the virtual experience the students will be in their own environment and not exposed physically to Capgemini, the risks therefore are in line with the risks of a student doing homework online.
