Aecus, a European advisory firm for outsourcing, shared services and automation, announced winners of the 2016 Aecus Innovation Awards – delighted to say that Capgemini, together with its clients, was announced as a winner in all three categories where it was nominated.

AECUS Innovation Awards for CapgeminiEstablished to celebrate the best examples of innovation from the world of outsourcing, the awards showcase analytics, automation and other pioneering technologies and processes, and highlight how providers and clients are working together in new ways.

Environment Agency and CapgeminiOur entry with the Environment Agency was for the successful development of Pragmatic Project Delivery (PPD), a scalable, cooperative approach that has helped the EA to modernise and digitalise its IT. PPD meets the EA’s particular need for extremely rapid delivery of certain projects. An especially relevant example in recent years has been its response to extreme weather events. Signed in 2009, the partnership between Capgemini and the Environment Agency is the last large first-generation IT outsourcing deal in UK government and covers the full infrastructure and application management Outsource with the exception of applications development.

Our second entry was with Darty Group, a French multi-channel electrical retailer and the French leader in the distribution of household electrical appliances, multimedia and television. Capgemini developed The Darty Button, the world’s first connected button dedicated to customer service. The underlying digital system involves a multi-channel CRM tool, data analytics, customer contact center software and a cloud-based engagement platform. All of this is managed by Prosodie-Capgemini’s Odigo platform – a comprehensive, multi-channel cloud contact center solution that provides carrier, telephony and integration services. Prosodie-Capgemini has been delivering services to Darty for over 10 years.

And finally, Capgemini and UiPath, a leading vendor of robotic process automation (RPA) software, were recognised as winners for the development of a unique, integrated RPA solution for enterprise-level implementation of process automation and system integration. Capgemini’s innovative automation services, tools and digital transformation expertise are grouped under one unified suite called Automation Drive, which provides enterprises with a complete solution that can be integrated into every process and application, to allow increased competitiveness and profitability across their business and operations.

Ed GardnerCapgemini’s Head of Advisor Relations Ed Gardner commented: “These award recognitions demonstrate that innovation is no longer an option for today’s organisations but has become one of the most important strategic priorities for executives globally. Those organisations working collaboratively with service providers, who can demonstrate leadership in disruptive technology and process innovation, will be their industry’s clear winners.”
