Capgemini signs agreement with Vår Energi to accelerate its digital transformation

Paris and Oslo, 10 December 2019 – Capgemini today announced that it has signed a new contract with Vår Energi, the largest, independent oil and gas exploration and production company on the Norwegian continental shelf[1]. Under the agreement, Capgemini will conduct a large transformation program, including delivery of digital services, to help Vår Energi accelerate its digital transformation in line with its business objectives.

Capgemini will mobilize all entities of the Group, including Capgemini Invent, to shape and deliver digital projects across Vår Energi’s entire operations to enhance safety, improve performance and modernize ways of working.

Capgemini was selected after a competitive tender process because of its end-to-end digital capabilities, proven track record in digital transformation at scale, strong local presence, oil and gas capabilities and trusted ecosystem of technology partners.
