Capgemini chosen as State of Georgia’s multi-sourcing service integrator

26 May 2015

Paris, New York – Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced it has been chosen as the multi-sourcing integrator for the Georgia Technology Authority (GTA), which manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 85 executive branch agencies and managed network services to 1,300 state and local government entities. Through a seven-year agreement valued at more than $200 million, Capgemini will coordinate the integration of technology services by multiple service providers for the Georgia Enterprise Technology Services program.

As the GTA’s service integrator, Capgemini will provide service management processes and systems that include billing, service desk, service catalog and request management, and risk and security management among other services.

“Capgemini brings proven capabilities to our service delivery model, enabling us to accommodate multiple service providers and respond more nimbly to agency needs and IT marketplace changes,” said State of Georgia CIO Calvin Rhodes in a news announcement. “Through an open and competitive bidding process, we’ve chosen a respected and highly capable company to manage the complex, multi-faceted tasks required to provide state agencies with IT services.”

The Capgemini Service Integration platform will help GTA to consistently deliver quality IT services in a cost effective and transparent way. This project is expected to provide the State of Georgia with improved service delivery and agility in introducing new services to support innovation.

“We’re pleased to be named Georgia’s multi-sourcing service integrator, and look forward to delivering higher levels of value and efficiency to the state agencies and citizens they serve,” said Greg Hyttenrauch, Deputy CEO, Capgemini Infrastructure Services. “This agreement demonstrates Capgemini’s strengths supporting large organizations with service integration, which is an increasing important area as IT infrastructure programs grow in complexity and include multiple providers.”
