The ranking has placed Capgemini as a Leader in three critical sectors – Digital Engineering in Industrial sectors, Transportation, and Hi-Tech

ISG’s latest ranking has placed Capgemini as a Leader in three critical sectors. The company tracks providers across different aspects of manufacturing, covering intricacies from product engineering such as design, development, pilot scale and industry scale production to shop floor manufacturing and remote product operations.

Digital Engineering – Industrial, US
Capgemini has been recognized by ISG as an Industrial leader

This section is an assessment of how digital engineering service providers address the challenges faced by their clients.

Capgemini was singled out as a strategic partner specializing in engineering and consulting for enterprises that prioritize innovation.

Specifically noted was Capgemini’s work in IoT and telematics for materials-handling companies. ISG said Capgemini is now a partner of choice for materials handling companies that are exploring opportunities with hydrogen fuel, fuel cells, and other forms of clean energy.

Digital Engineering – Transportation, US
Capgemini has been recognized by ISG as a leader in Transportation

This quadrant evaluates the capabilities of service providers and systems integrators within hardware (electrical and mechanical), software, and embedded systems, plus small-series manufacturing, simulations, and tests.

ISG said Capgemini:

  • Assists clients with car-to-cloud strategies and formulating use cases
  • Identifies supporting data for those cases
  • Delivers data-driven solutions for the hydrogen economy.

Digital Engineering – Hi-Tech, US
Capgemini has been recognized by ISG as a leader in Hi-Tech

This section focuses on engineering and R&D excellence in semiconductor manufacturing and front-end-of-the-line (FEOL) and backend-of-the-line (BEOL) sub processes. Design ability and quality assurance are critical factors.

According to the report, “Capgemini presents a significant capability in value engineering around FPGA to ASIC conversion, board redesign for new form factors, and new compliance requirements.”

ISG also said that Capgemini’s integration of Altran positions it well to address the upcoming needs of US-based companies as they work to create new and recurring revenue models.
