Tell me about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like? 

I joined Capgemini in 2021 after I decided to do a career pivot. I was working in Hollywood as a Producer and Production Coordinator and wanted to find a secure position that would allow me to take care of my family. I knew I wanted to work in technology, so I went back to school and got a degree in Business Administration. While I was searching for a position, I found online resources helpful and was able to secure my first tech role! I want to let others know that they can join at any age, and there is nothing stopping you from pursuing your dreams.

At Capgemini, my day starts with an early morning meeting with my team. We go through our tasks for the day to make sure that we stay on track and meet our goals. Our team is helping our client implement new software, to enhance the company, and make it brilliant! My team consists of a SCRUM master, product owner, and developers. I enjoy working with my team as they are all intelligent, innovative, and overall great to work with!

Throughout my day, whether in meetings or online courses, I am always learning and observing as much as I can. I am developing skills through Degreed and Coursera, to enhance my career. It is so important for me to learn and grow; I never stop learning at Capgemini and this leads to empowerment in my career as a Business Analyst.

What do you love about working at Capgemini? 

What I love about the way of working at Capgemini is that Capgemini employees and managers are always there to help you achieve your goals. Capgemini gives you independence and the freedom to make career choices that are right for you. I also love the cultural diversity, and I love that everyone is held in high regard in their positions.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I am one person among many amazingly talented individuals in an organization that cares for the environment, employee work/life balance, and work culture. I am very proud to work at Capgemini.

What is one of your favorite memories working at Capgemini?

One of the most memorable moments in my Capgemini journey is that Capgemini took a chance on me. I went from a career in Hollywood to a career in tech. Capgemini fostered my career pivot and continues to foster my career path.

Are you involved with an Employee Resource Group?

I am involved in our Women at Capgemini Employee Resource Group (ERG). I am very involved with helping with events and the book club. For me, being in an ERG helps you meet like-minded individuals that enhance your work /life experience.

How are you working towards Getting the Future You Want?

The multitude of training and learning opportunities help me get the future I want. I am currently enrolled in three different programs through Degreed and Coursera with Capgemini. I am working towards my certification as a Data Analyst. I am also learning to be a better Business Analyst, to hopefully become a Senior Business Analyst.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

My advice for a new hire at Capgemini is to take it day by day. Capgemini is a huge organization, but truly care for their employees. I would also advise any new hire to make sure they always introduce themselves in new meetings and be heard. Capgemini loves to hear new thoughts and ideas!
