My life at Capgemini

Capgemini is a great place to work and grow. The culture and policies are people and result oriented enabling one to develop and help achieve goals set. Leadership at Capgemini is empowering and encouraging, investing in both time and needs aligning to the organization as well as individuals. My experience has been that of learning, empowerment to take on new challenges and grow both personally and professionally.

Places I have been

Given Capgemini’s global spread and India as a pivot for many of its key initiatives, many employees get to travel a lot within India. This is also true in my case, especially due to my involvement in the business development function and projects.
Just 2 weeks in Capgemini and I found myself in Tokyo, Japan, a place I still hold very dear.
Work-related travel literally had me going places—the list includes both international and national destinations:
International
Most Schengen countries—Germany, Norway, Sweden, France, Finland, Poland [among the most frequented or recent];
North America [US], United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and Vietnam
National
All key Capgemini India Centers with Bangalore, Kolkata and Pune being the most frequented.

Projects I’m proud of

With over 10 years of association with Capgemini, there are quite a few activities and events that I am proud of. Listed below are a few of them:

  • Managed some of the key programs for Capgemini from a Non-Life Direct Insurance client to a Telecom giant; won Best Project awards for some projects managed and was actively involved in CMMI initiatives
  • Set up the Business Development/Pre-sales team for BIM; won some key accounts that are still active and bagged several awards and promotions

My personal life

For me, personal life means family, friends and having fun whenever possible. I enjoy travelling, and my most recent long-haul road trip was to Leh-Ladakh via Kashmir from Mumbai and back; it’s a trip I would recommend to all who like to see India at its beautiful best.

Weekends are usually the time to unwind with music, books, movies, short trips, family (dine), friends (wine) or sleep—the ultimate mode of recreation after a busy week!
