Hi, I’m Shereen Fatima, a Senior Consultant in Capgemini’s Guidewire Insurance Practice. From joining Capgemini as a fresher to leading key aspects of insurance transformation programs, my journey has been shaped by continuous learning and growth. With expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and integrations, I now contribute to end-to-end solution delivery, working closely with teams to deliver value for clients and support talent development.

How does a usual day working at Capgemini look like?

A typical day is collaborative and dynamic. I work closely with teams on Guidewire configurations, integrations, and enhancements, ensuring alignment with project goals and delivery timelines. At the same time, I actively keep up with Guidewire upgrades and new features, helping deliver more efficient and future-ready solutions.

What’s most exciting to you about your role?

What excites me the most is the continuous opportunity to learn and grow. With Guidewire regularly evolving through new upgrades, there’s always something new to explore and stay updated with. I also value the opportunity to apply these learnings in real projects and contribute meaningfully. Additionally, being able to support and train new joiners, just like I was trained when I started, makes the journey even more meaningful.

Can you talk about your experience of learning at Capgemini?

My learning journey at Capgemini began as a fresher, with training in Java and Guidewire that laid a strong foundation for my career. With Guidewire regularly introducing new capabilities, continuous learning is part of the journey. Through certifications, hands-on experience, and exposure to evolving technologies, I’ve been able to keep building my skills and expertise. Being part of the Guidewire practice allows me to stay close to these advancements and apply them to deliver better outcomes for our clients.

I’m proud to have contributed to several large-scale insurance transformation programs for leading US insurers throughout my journey at Capgemini. These experiences have given me end-to-end exposure to Guidewire implementations, from configuration and integrations to enhancements and production support. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to solve complex business challenges, collaborate with global teams, and continuously grow both my technical and leadership skills. Each project has played a part in shaping my career and strengthening my passion for delivering solutions that create meaningful business value.
