Hi, I’m Sakshi Janvir. I joined Capgemini in 2020 as a fresher, and today I am leading a team in the retail payments domain. I work on payment systems that support stores across the US, while also helping drive enhancements, support activities, and cloud transformation initiatives.

How does a usual day working at Capgemini look like?

A usual day is a good mix of solving technical issues, supporting my team, and working closely with clients and stakeholders. Since we support payment systems, some days need quick action, but that’s what keeps the role exciting and full of learning.

What are the must-have skills needed to be successful in your role?

For me, doing well in this role is about balancing technical skills with the right mindset. Knowing technologies like C#, SQL, and Azure is important, especially as more work moves to the cloud. But what really helps is staying curious, learning on your own, adapting quickly, solving problems calmly, and communicating clearly with clients, teammates, and cross-functional teams.

Can you talk about your experience of learning at Capgemini?

Learning at Capgemini has been a very supportive experience for me. I completed Azure certifications like AZ-900, AZ-104, and AZ-204, and whenever I wanted to explore cloud, SRE, or AI tools, I found guidance from leaders and colleagues. What stands out is that if you are eager to grow, people genuinely help you learn, build confidence, and move forward.

Can you share an example of how your work made a positive impact on a client

One project I’m really proud of was during a critical payment incident where some customers were charged multiple times. I helped build a process to organize and analyze large payment data, which made it easier to identify impacted customers accurately. This helped the client process refunds faster and correctly. It was a high-pressure situation, but knowing our work directly helped customers and supported the client made it a very meaningful experience.

Tell us about the Capgemini culture.

Capgemini feels like a place where people genuinely support each other. Over the past six years, I’ve always felt comfortable reaching out to leaders, managers, or colleagues whenever I needed guidance. What I value most is that people listen, help, and care about your growth and wellbeing, both at work and beyond it.

What does “belonging” at Capgemini mean to you?

For me, belonging is about feeling trusted, supported, and valued for who I am – and I have experienced that here. Early in my journey, I was encouraged to take ownership, engage with clients, and contribute meaningfully. That trust helped me grow with confidence. I have also felt this support in personal moments, when my manager and leaders stood by me with understanding.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career with Capgemini?

Stay confident, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Capgemini gives you access to learning opportunities, mentorship, and new technologies, but your growth really starts with you. Keep exploring, build your skills, take ownership, and reach out when you need help. There is always someone here willing to support you.
