Hi, I’m Vamshi! I’ve been part of the Capgemini family for over five years now, and it’s honestly been a great journey so far. I currently work as a Consultant in the Insights & Data business unit, where my focus is on building Generative AI solutions. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to grow both technically and professionally, taking on projects that constantly push me to learn something new.

What’s most exciting to you about your role?

What excites me most about my role is that I get to learn something new almost every single day. The Generative AI space moves incredibly fast, and I love being right at the forefront of that change. I also really value getting to work closely with experienced leaders who genuinely invest in my growth, and collaborating with them on cutting-edge AI solutions is what keeps me engaged and motivated.

What are the must-have skills needed to be a successful in your role?

To do well in my role, a solid understanding of Large Language Models and Generative AI is a must, along with hands-on experience working with Vector Databases. Getting comfortable with Agentic AI concepts helps too, especially when you’re building intelligent, autonomous workflows. I work a lot with tools like LlamaIndex and LangChain, so knowing them well helps a lot every day.

What project at Capgemini are you most proud of?

I’m proud of building AI-led solutions that solve real business challenges. Being involved from the start helped me understand the problem, shape the solution, and see its impact. For me, that mix of innovation, ownership, and practical business value makes the work truly rewarding.

What does work-life balance mean to you at Capgemini?

For me, work-life balance is about having the space to do meaningful work while also making time for life outside of it. Capgemini’s hybrid work culture gives me that flexibility to plan my day in a way that works best for me. I can stay focused, collaborate well with my team, and still feel present in my personal life – and that balance makes a big difference.

What piece of advice would you give to a new joiner starting in your role?

I would say make full use of the learning platforms Capgemini offers – there’s genuinely a lot available, and it’s worth exploring early on. I’d also encourage new joiners to take part in hackathons whenever they can; they’re a great way to apply what you’re learning in a hands-on way and build practical experience quickly.
