Pritha Bhatnagar, Manager in Invent Business Unit

What motivated you to join Capgemini?

I work at Capgemini Invent as a French to English translator and editor. As a foreign language specialist, I work on translation, editing, proofreading, subtitling, voiceover, and I am training to learn copywriting for my latest upskilling initiative: transcreation (translation + copywriting).

I’m an individual contributor, but despite being diagnosed with my neurodivergent condition, I’ve led a 10-member team of translators and was responsible for the end-to-end production of a 20-member team of translators.

How was your experience with integration into Capgemini?

At Capgemini, we have an ecosystem that supports neurodivergent individuals and are working towards making the organization an inclusive place for everyone to grow and thrive in. It’s truly commendable!

How was your experience working at Capgemini so far?

The overall learning is that experience makes one more resilient and teaches empathy towards those who are suffering. We must learn to bend like a reed in a storm instead of being like the mighty oak that breaks, feel gratitude for all the tiny miracles of everyday life.

I’ve learned to slow down, do as much as I comfortably can and be good to myself. After all, what’s our objective, complete as many tasks as we can in as little time as we can? We should go easy on our own selves, do as much as is comfortably possible, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What is the one thing you like most at Capgemini and why?

I love the hybrid working model here as it allows me a quiet space to work in twice a week. Team rituals for periodic connects are also very helpful. Talking always helps, two heads are always better than one. I’ve learned to voice my concern whenever something bothers me, because there’s always an alternate way out. When we are part of a supportive community, we function better.

What message would you give to individuals who want to work at Capgemini?

To those who are struggling, my two cents worth from personal experience would be to share it with your community, keep yourself constructively occupied, and live in the present, instead of in the past or the future. All we have is our present moment, do what is right now, one step and one task at a time, and don’t worry about anything else.

Rewrite the future of your career at Capgemini.
