Hi, I am Jaspreet Kaur – Associate Consultant, Capgemini – India. I joined Capgemini in December 2024, working on a project built around AI-driven testing. Most days, I am picking up something new about AI, and it has changed how I look at my own growth.

What was onboarding like for you?

Onboarding was smooth, structured, and never rushed. HR, trainers, and colleagues walked me through everything as a fresher, and once training ended, I moved into a project. That is where I got firsthand experience with real-time testing, agile methodology, and JIRA, collaborating with people who explained things instead of assuming I already knew them.

How did the India Continuous Assimilation Program (I-CAP) help you find your footing?

This program did more than help me set up on day one. Leadership connect sessions and HR conversations gave me a real sense of Capgemini’s values and how different business units operate.

Tell us about your buddy when you joined Capgemini.

As a part of the buddy program, I was assigned a colleague during my onboarding. My buddy was based in Mumbai and works as an Assimilation Captain for the Americas Business Unit, supporting other new joiners there. Starting a new job is overwhelming. Having someone to turn to, for both work questions and the everyday realities of how things run, made that shift smoother. It went beyond simply getting answers. It gave me a steady point of support from day one.

What would you tell a friend who thinks about joining Capgemini?

The work culture is transparent, learning is continuous, and people actively support your growth. For anyone looking to build a career from the ground up, this is a place worth considering.
