“Building relationships is really one of the most interesting and biggest benefits of this job.”

What does your average day look like?

My team and I mostly work on project work, working with clients on the transformation they want to do. We help our customers with the management consulting perspective through the digital transformation, often hand-in-hand with our technology colleagues from the group. We have a real wealth in terms of IT, business and management. We start with making the strategy, assessing how or what they need to factor in their company in order to achieve success – what direction they need to go in to set up the transformation, and what are the target operating models. There’s also the business development aspect, which is driving our assets, innovation, developing content and new business opportunities, but also developing myself and our people.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

What I really enjoy at Capgemini Invent is that we are a bunch of high-potential and motivated people with an incredible intelligence and set of capabilities, but especially what we don’t have is the elbow culture: Everyone helps each other out. There is also the team spirit, we are a nice team!

Still after two and a half years, I’m fascinated with the level of professionalism as a company. The varied opportunities and experiences are something else I enjoy. I am working with people from the UK, from Italy, from France of course, from the States, and also sometimes from India, so the travel, meeting new people and having different projects is great. There is maximum collaboration in terms of working with clients, we help them by asking the right questions to guide the projects. This is a people business, building relationships is really one of the most interesting and biggest benefits of this job.

– What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

The Values, especially Boldness. That’s something you see at Capgemini Invent: You can tell people what you think, and it does not matter if the person you are talking to is a VP or an executive. You can have an open and honest discussion. Everyone is ready to help each other out, even in a high-performing landscape there is still room for being a human and supporting each other. The biggest potential of Capgemini Invent is that we are a management consulting company with a management consulting approach and methodology, tools and mindset, but we are not allergic to IT topics and we are willing to work with colleagues from the group to roll out an IT system.

How are you working towards the future you want?

I would like to work on some more projects outside of France or outside of Europe.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

My advice is something everyone says: Be authentic. Personality is pretty big in our recruitment process. It weighs more than in other companies, so I would be honest to yourself. You need good grades and knowledge, but we also want to know how you fill fit in with the organization and values. I think this is important. Don’t play a different role to who you are, be authentic.
