Roma Nawani Sachdev is the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Capgemini in India. In her current role, she is responsible for strengthening the Brand amongst customers, employees and industry at large. Roma is also part of the India Country Board and the Global Marketing Leadership Team.

Roma is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in advertising, marketing, and communications, including two decades in IT services. Her expertise includes building high-performing teams, leadership communication, and managing communications for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, change and crisis management, for major IT and services companies. She has been instrumental in rebranding and positioning brands effectively in the Indian market and has led teams both in India and globally. As a strategic organisational leader, Roma enables and influences her field, leveraging her extensive experience in brand management, change communication, and stakeholder engagement to guide organisations through mergers and foster positive conversations.

Prior to joining Capgemini, Roma was Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Publicis Sapient in India, leading marketing, public relations and digital strategies. Roma introduced agile methodologies in marketing at Publicis Sapient in India and enhanced brand visibility, achieving recognition as a Great Place to Work. She also led communication at IBM Daksh, earning top DEI rankings. Additionally, she established Xansa’s brand in India and led CSR initiatives in education.
Roma has actively worked with women leadership councils to encourage diversity, equity and inclusivity in different companies. Roma has chaired POSH initiatives for over four years at Publicis Sapient for North and West locations. Roma continues to coach and mentor both professionally and personally.

Roma holds an MBA in International Management and Marketing from Northwestern University, Boston, USA.
