Thought Leadership Series: Unleash new possibilities – where digital meets physical

Overview

The nature of your industry is changing.

Every company is becoming, in some way, a digital company – and that means the way you optimise, accelerate and innovate is changing too. The line between traditional engineering and digital technology is blurring. The fact is, transformation is never just physical or digital. It’s both.

While digital gives us the data to make decisions, engineering is how we turn those strategic decisions into reality.

The new frontier for transformation sits at the intersection between the physical and digital.  Operations and supply chain ecosystems can become responsive and flexible. New, digitized products can be adapted or created and brought to market swiftly and effectively. Business operations can be unified and managed more cost-effectively than ever before. Sustainable targets can be pursued, achieved, and even exceeded, without compromising business goals.

Join us at the Thought leadership series in partnership with Engineers Australia as we explore the merging of traditional engineering with digital technology, reshaping the future and how we optimize, accelerate, and innovate!

Engage with industry leaders, academics, and policymakers to explore the challenges and opportunities in this evolving landscape. Expect provocative discussions and hands-on demonstrations focusing on resilience, growth, experience, and innovation – with Engineering at the core.

Key Topics:

  • The Future of Industries: Evolving industries in Australia and how intelligent, interconnected products and services are transforming the way we work.
  • Digital, Meet Physical in Practice: Exploring practical applications of digital and physical convergence, merging technologies to address industry challenges effectively.
  • Sustainability in our Industry: Building resilience into supply chain dynamics, while embracing sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact.
  • The Impact of Research and Development: Understanding the transformative power behind innovation, shaping industries, and preparing for the future.
  • The New Engineer: Redefining engineers’ roles for adaptability and innovation in the digital age, thriving in the integrated landscape of traditional and digital.

The future of industry is intelligent

Every product can be smart and connected. This increases uptime, improves efficiency, saves costs and creates new revenue streams through service models.

A software-driven transformation is redefining the global automotive industry. Vehicles, organisational structures, processes, methods and tools are defined, designed and operated by software

Enable end-to-end digital continuity across the entire product lifecycle by seamlessly integrating ideation, development, manufacturing and aftersales into a unified digital collaboration.

The next generation of factories will be hyper-connected, intelligent, autonomous and sustainable. They will also be characterized by high adaptability and optimal use of resources. Digital technologies will enable traditional systems to become intelligent and change the way they work.

Supply chains are at the centre of challenges in all industries today and are subject to an ongoing transformation process. Greater resilience and sustainability efforts – an important concern for all companies – are highly dependent on optimizing the supply chain.

Our demos:

Connectivity Corner

An intelligent monitoring system analyzes real-time video feeds from a network of surveillance, utilizes dashboards to consolidate data in the cloud or at the edge, offers smart alerts for real-time worker safety, and enhances safety and security at industrial sites.

Mission-critical communications involve systems tailored to prioritize, secure, and ensure availability, crucial for safety or business operations.

Public safety mission-critical communications systems are migrating from legacy professional mobile radio (PMR) technologies to LTE/5G solutions with MCX, to provide advanced multimedia services and enhance situational awareness during crises.

A data-driven energy optimization solution for 5G and beyond networks, built as part of Capgemini’s sustainable 5G network initiative.

Intelligently optimizes RAN performance using closed-loop automation, maximizing energy saving gains without compromising network performance
Seamlessly works on both traditional RAN and Open RAN.

Delivering an E2E visibility in both operations and key performance with key sections: Dashboard view, track & trace tools, CO2 emissions assessment.

Leveraging the latest technologies such as GenAI for 0 time between information and supply chain decision-making.

Innovation Corner

Edge AI capabilities used to classify the punches delivered by the user.

Low-power ML models are used to fetch the acceleration data and send it to the classifier for processing the noise data to meaningful interpretations (punches).

Sustainability Corner

It is a flex-gas 200kW Turbogenerator for liquefied natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen

Powerful & easy-to-use simulator that combines thermal simulations & AI to assess solutions to urban heat islands by integrating green spaces in cities. SIM City for Climate is at the heart of a new sustainability offer for climate change adaptation. The demo simulates and illustrates the potential of greening solutions that help industries and cities tackle heat islands.

An integrated Hardware/software platform for integrated monitoring and control of Campus/Building utility systems Platform/service that combines IoT, Edge Computing, AI/ML to enable Integrated control/monitoring Client can reduce energy consumption thus reducing carbon footprint Optimize equipment operation reducing equipment wear and tear Achieve predictive maintenance by asset health monitoring Comprehensive management of power generation and utilization.

Manage distributed resources like on-premises solar, CPPAs, and storage solutions for night intermittency thus optimizing the supply to help strike the balance.
