Energy and utilities digital-twin programs

The concept of technology-enabled digital twins has been around for at least two decades, and many industries including energy and utilities have invested in digital-twin programs in the recent past. However, the utility and energy industry, in particular, has faced specific challenges when attempting to scale value from digital twins. Now, maturing industry standards and open architectures give energy producers and utility operators new tools to scale and find new applications for digital twins.
