Capgemini is awarded three framework agreements with the German Federal Revenue Administration’s Data Processing and Information Technology Center* (Zentrum für Informationsverarbeitung und Informationstechnik, ZIVIT)

19 Nov 2013

Each framework agreement is concluded for a period of three years. They cover services of architecture consulting, Java and Oracle-based technology software development and Business Intelligence technology software development.

The architecture consulting framework agreement has been awarded exclusively to Capgemini and its partner CONET**. This is the first time that ZIVIT has awarded its architecture consulting to an external service provider. With a scale of approximately 140 man-months, the agreement includes both the design of modern application architectures that support the IT strategy and the management of the IT enterprise architecture.

The two software development contracts consist of a total of up to 4,700 man-months and supersede the previous two contracts signed in 2009 by Capgemini Germany. These contracts give ZIVIT significant support in the development and maintenance of customers’ administrative processes.

In Capgemini we have a reliable partner at our side who places a high priority on us as a customer,” says Gert Burkhart, Head of Unit II 3 Tax Procedures in ZIVIT. “I am delighted that Capgemini´s commitment continues with these new framework agreements. The team contributes a high level of expertise to our joint IT projects and pays close attention to understanding our partnership. For me, this ensures the continuation of our successful cooperation.”

Capgemini has been a service provider to ZIVIT since the end of 2009. Through a number of different framework contracts Capgemini is a partner to ZIVIT in the design and implementation of tax procedures, in customs duty applications and research systems, and in business intelligence solutions.

“The new framework agreements deepen our strong and successful partnership with ZIVIT,” says Ulrich Bonfig, Head of Client Services for Federal and State Revenue Administrations, Public Sector at Capgemini. “Thanks to the newly awarded contracts we look forward to helping ZIVIT and the Federal Revenue Administration become more efficient in the design of their IT-landscape and in managing current and future challenges.”
