#Gradathon: How I found my path to and in Capgemini

Starting college as a freshman is a scary and uncertain place. The pressures of what I wanted to do and deciding on a career were constantly running through my mind.

Here is the story of how I found my path.

I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Management Information Systems. My first introduction to the world of consulting was with a friend who had just recently joined Capgemini. I was immediately drawn in as I saw the endless learning opportunities and experiences my peer was encountering on a daily basis. Traveling to new places, gaining experiences in new industries and working with fellow employees all over the world was exactly what I was looking for in my career.

The company is truly people-centric and understands that their employees are their most valuable asset, and who doesn’t want to work for a company with that mindset? Throughout the training process, I collaborated with Senior Managers and VPs who truly cared about the incoming hires’ success, in client scenarios and role plays. I grew both professionally and personally because of how much Capgemini invests in their people.

Life doesn’t become more certain after college, but the support I’ve experienced at Capgemini makes any uncertainty more worthwhile. I’m excited to see how Capgemini will continue to invest in my success and help me ace my career.
