Tell me about your career journey and how you ended up at Capgemini

I always knew that I wanted to work at the intersection of people and technology. That passion led me to my first role in professional services, and from there, I navigated through various roles, industries, and countries – eventually landing at Capgemini in 2017.

I think it’s fair to say I’ve had a long and adventurous career. But the one big constant throughout it all has been saying “yes” to opportunities. I started right out of college, knowing I wanted to work in computer science, that’s what it was called before IT, and even back in high school and middle school, I was drawn to it.

There were many other things that interested me. I wanted to be a journalist, a writer, an athlete. I was into track and field. But computers were my lasting love. I was recruited out of college and started as a database developer. That role opened doors to many others. Architect, solution lead, business analyst, tester, test lead, infrastructure project manager, and program manager for e-commerce, modernization, and agile transformation projects across large organizations.

After many “yeses,” I found myself saying yes again, this time to Capgemini. I moved to Illinois specifically for this opportunity, which involved working with one of the largest global clients. That was exciting enough for me to pack everything up — my wife, my cat, and our apartment’s worth of stuff in a U-Haul and drive to Illinois.

Have you experienced any role transitions or career shifts within Capgemini?

When I joined Capgemini, I was hired as an architect at the ground floor of what became a multi-year initiative to modernize one of the largest client relationships in the Americas. I’m one of a few original leaders that is here and still growing from those early challenges.

That role evolved into leading program deployments for new digital transformations in international markets. Eventually, I led quality engineering across the account, helping it grow and mature.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of the industries I’ve spent most of my career in consumer products, retail, and restaurants — and the expertise I’ve developed in product and quality engineering.

How does your day-to-day look like?

I work with some of the biggest names in their industries. From clothing and apparel manufacturers to companies that make household products like laundry detergent, and major restaurant brands.

What I love most about this industry is that I can think like a customer while also thinking like a consultant and problem solver. It’s easy for me to switch perspectives, to ask: “How would I solve this problem?”, while keeping the customer experience in mind.

My work largely focuses on applications, whether that’s restaurant websites, mobile apps, or the ecosystems behind them that power customer engagement, marketing offers, payments, and order creation. My job is to help clients reach that “nirvana” state where they have a modern, digital ecosystem that supports their needs and growth, giving them confidence that every feature, release, and user story we deliver works seamlessly, especially in the age of AI.

What has been a big accomplishment for you?

People. Above all else, my career has been blessed with many rockstars that I have had a chance to work with, learn from and create lasting friendships. This has helped me recognize the power of team that Capgemini has allowed me to unlock many times since those early challenges.

I was honored to receive the Delivery Diamond Award, one of Capgemini’s most prestigious recognitions for excellence in delivery. It’s an award that celebrates extraordinary commitment to client outcomes, and it meant a lot to me. The program I led, from architecture to production, modernized the client’s digital ecosystem end-to-end. It was a proud moment and a very humbling recognition.

How do you stay engaged within Capgemini outside of your daily job?

One of the things I value most about Capgemini is the opportunity to engage with our people. I mentor several colleagues and also serve as one of the global sponsors for our Grade A hires, the young talent we bring in from campuses.

How does Capgemini support your wellbeing?

I have two young children, a two-year-old and a seven-year-old, so it’s incredibly important to find time to create those fast-moving, fleeting memories while also delivering for our clients. Capgemini has truly been a game changer in how I view work-life balance. It gives me the flexibility to meet client needs while also being present for my family, whether that means attending a recital, being home for birthdays, or celebrating Diwali together.

Everything we do at Capgemini is underscored by empathy, family, and real people doing amazing things for our clients.
