Tell me about your career journey and how you ended up at Capgemini.

I graduated from the University of Tennessee in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, double-majoring in Marketing and Management, with a collateral in International Business and a minor in Philosophy.

When graduation was drawing near, a sorority sister who had become a consultant at Capgemini two years prior reached out to our senior class to make us aware of Capgemini’s upcoming campus hire opportunities. I seized the opportunity and interviewed for Consulting and OCM, before ultimately landing in Procurement.

I began my career with Capgemini’s Procurement organization in 2018, as a Procurement Business Partner, providing general procurement support for Capgemini’s External Resources category.

What is your current role, and what does a day in your life look like?

Today, I am a Country Buyer for the North America Region, managing the Engineering category of Procurement.

My day-to-day includes working closely with the Subcontractor Staffing Center team and ER&D stakeholders to support the fulfillment of ER&D’s open subcontractor positions. I oversee ER&D’s vendor management strategy and relationships.

Additionally, I manage Capgemini’s Supplier Diversity Program, ensuring that Capgemini is spending with certified diverse suppliers wherever possible. This includes setting Capgemini’s diverse spending goals, guiding our strategy for engaging diverse partners, and managing our partnerships with supplier diversity-focused nonprofits.

What’s been your biggest achievement at Capgemini so far?

In 2023, I was honored to win a Group CFO Award in the Sustainability category alongside my partner-in-crime, Nadia Hadid. This recognition reaffirmed executive support for our efforts toward partnering with diverse businesses.

While the CFO Award was a really exciting and tangible achievement, I believe my biggest achievements at Capgemini have been related to my personal and professional growth. During my time here, and with encouragement and mentorship from some incredible leaders, I’ve recognized growth in my confidence as well as in my decision-making and problem-solving skill sets, most notably.

What’s the most exciting initiative you’ve worked on?

The opportunity to direct Capgemini’s Supplier Diversity Program over the past several years has been an honor and the highlight of my career thus far.

It is truly a privilege to work with so many amazing minority, woman,LGBTQ+, veteran, and disability-owned businesses, as well as supplier diversity professionals — all with the shared goal of driving business within diverse communities.

During my time supporting the growth of Capgemini’s Supplier Diversity Program, I’ve seen us grow from supporting ~10 client reports to over 60 clients quarterly, our North America diverse spend reach a staggering 22% annually, and our contributions to client RFPs increase to 100+ per year.

What things do you do outside your everyday job to stay engaged at Capgemini?

Participating in our incredible employee resource groups has been my favorite way to expand and nourish my Capgemini community.

Attending in-office events in Atlanta and joining ERG activities virtually has been a great way for me to network, grow my skills, and keep Capgemini’s core values at the center of my experience. In 2024, I had the opportunity to be one of HOLA ERG’s National Leads — this experience brought so many wonderful colleagues into my life that I may not have crossed paths with otherwise.

Another way I stay engaged at Capgemini is by prioritizing my mental and physical well-being at home. Taking care of myself in my personal life allows me to show up as the best version of myself at work. For me, this looks like quality time with my fiancé and pets, spending time in nature, and pursuing creative outlets. My fiancé and I just returned from an incredible vacation during which we hiked two volcanoes in Guatemala — and I’ve come back feeling so refreshed!
