Tell us about your career journey

Three years ago, I was fortunate to get a call from Capgemini asking if I was interested in a role. I am so happy that I did. I love managing the complex, multi-tenant business transformation projects that Capgemini is known for. I wanted to put my skills and background into action as a part of the Capgemini team. As an undergrad, I double majored in MIS and Operations Management before getting my MBA. I think that having a core understanding of business production, monitoring, and controlling activities has been instrumental as I navigated my technology career. I started my career working for Kellogg and then worked in consulting for some of the world’s largest companies. Having a blend of industry and consulting experience makes me a better and stronger leader at Capgemini, and I am able to provide value for our clients. My responsibility is to make sure that Capgemini delivers projects that create and demonstrate value for our clients. In my current role, I serve as the Portfolio, Governance, and Metrics Lead for our largest Consumer Product Retail Goods account. I have worked to create an enhanced metrics program that adds both transparency and repeatability. I put a focus on Product and Engineering trends, Quality trends, and System Availability & Stability trends. By working closely with my team, we have developed insights into metrics for C-level meetings, including developing an executive dashboard for the service desk.

You’ve been with Capgemini for more than three years. What are some of your proudest achievements?

I was recognized as a Women of Talent in the Women for the Future awards by Capgemini. This award recognized my contributions to developing our talent beyond my day-to-day role.

I’m also proud to be a facilitator for a program called #IamRemarkable. This is a program developed by Google and it’s a global movement that empowers everyone, including underrepresented groups, to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond. At Capgemini, I have facilitated over 325- people through the program since it started,  and additional workshops are scheduled. #IamRemarkable provides a forum where people can find their voice. It is empowering and amazing to see.

As a result of childhood illness, I lost a significant amount of hearing when I was in grade school and then all the hearing in my remaining ear when I was in high school. I wear a digital hearing aid in the ear that I can still hear from. I am so fortunate to be able to do the things I love to do at work and at home because I have the technology and tools in place to allow me to be successful.

Capgemini was recently recognized as one of the best places to work for Disability Inclusion. Teams across Brazil, the US, and India achieved top scores in the Disability Index, a platform that benchmarks corporate disability inclusion globally.

Capgemini is making giant strides in bringing awareness to disabilities, but we do have space to grow. There is an opportunity to continue to educate and train the general population to provide an understanding of individuals with all types of disabilities and reduce unconscious bias. Within the ERGs, we can foster a supportive workplace environment and support policy and advocacy for disability inclusion.

I am an Executive Sponsor for Women@Capgemini. I joined by volunteering and then served in leadership roles as Events and Collaboration Lead and then as a North America Co-Lead role.

As an Executive Sponsor, I ensure ERGs undertake a broader, more impactful vision for contributions, as well as the organizational capital to make that vision a reality.

I checked out Women@Capgemini on the Capgemini website before my first day with Capgemini, and it was a group I wanted to be a part of. I attended a virtual event hosted by Janet Pope, Vice President, Corporate Responsibility and Engagement, to learn about the programs at Capgemini. I knew right away Capgemini had amazing programs and I was interested in joining.

I am so proud of the work that the Women@Capgemini team does. From the Events & Collaboration, Professional Development, Client Engagement panels, Communication team and podcasts, it is one of the largest ERGs at Capgemini and a powerhouse team. It is incredible how much value and learning the team delivers. Some of our key programs are related to financial acumen and sales development, and directly support `Engagement Managers and client-facing teams.

I’m also an Executive Advisor to CapAbility, a community of interest within our LIFE ERG. This community’s mission is to provide advocacy, representation, and resources to disabled employees, those with functional limitations, and employees who are caregivers. CapAbility is a safe space for discussions, support, and education for all employees on disabilities, accessibility, and compliance.

As an Executive Advisor, I have the unique opportunity to build a positive work environment that values diversity and encourages collaboration across departments. I wanted to continue doing that with our 1,300-plus Women@Capgemini team members and developing the CapAbility footprint. I am so proud of the work that the teams are doing.

I decided to take on leadership roles in Women@Capgemini and CapAbility because they are great places to learn and develop skills at Capgemini.

Research tells us that there is a 14 percent higher revenue from innovation (enhanced or new products) for companies with diverse employees, than for those that don’t. We also know that fostering inclusive teams benefits the wellbeing of the teams as well as the organizations.

Both ERGs actively partner with all our other ERGs for events and activities. Our events are more enriched because of their collaboration, and we are so glad to be able to support their events too.
