Tell me about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

I start my day with a morning meeting with my team. We go over our progress from the day before and any other important information from the previous day we did not get to discuss in the evening meeting. We also go over our goals and assignments for the day, as well as deadlines and our overall goals when necessary. The rest of my day I am executing tasks, going to client meetings, and connecting with my colleagues. At the end of the day, I connect back with my team to go over the progress from the day – we discuss what progress we made, what is left to do, and any findings that we made throughout the day.

What do you love about working at Capgemini?

What I love about being a Software Engineer is working closely with my team and accomplishing our shared goals. There are many projects and many different paths open to you as an engineer here that allow you to learn and grow into another role. I feel that Capgemini empowers me as a Software Engineer with continued access to resources and opportunities to learn, grow, and progress in my career.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

Being at Capgemini, you will consistently meet people who have worked here for eight, 10, 15, even 20 years. When you connect with them, they all say they are still happy and enjoy Capgemini. To me, that says a lot about the company. I’m also proud of the trust I have within my team. They know when I am given a task or assignment, I will complete it, and I know if there are any issues my management and team are there to assist. 

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

When I was first assigned a project, I was very nervous, but it worked out well. If I could give advice to someone joining Capgemini, I would tell them to take advantage of the opportunities presented to you as there are many paths that you can take to learn and grow within Capgemini.

How are you working towards Getting the Future You Want?

I execute my daily assignments at a high level and consistently showing management I can be relied on. I am utilizing resources offered and learning from the people above me. All of these things will help me advance into future roles.
