The Center operates on a Product Oriented Delivery (POD) service model and creates cross-skilled and scalable PODs. The Center manages the full development lifecycle for clients – offering end-to-end delivery of systems, services, and solutions. PODs bring a range of knowledge to each project, including:

  • Angular
  • Azure DevOps
  • Azure integration
  • .NET, C#

  • Azure cloud-native development.

Located in Columbia, South Carolina, the Center also provides American companies with a time-zone advantage compared to staffing from non-US delivery centers.

The team: experience plus energy

Experienced Capgemini tech professionals manage the Columbia Delivery Center, overseeing more than 250 developers – mostly graduates from computer science and computer information systems programs at area universities. These include the University of South Carolina and Clemson University, as well as other academic institutions throughout the southeast.

Capgemini works with a number of colleges to develop academic curricula that help students acquire top-tier digital skills – then actively recruits from these schools through a number of initiatives, including our own START program. This provides clients not only with high-quality talent but also fresh ideas and enthusiasm for their projects.

Capgemini clients can also access digital training and resources from the Center to enhance and expand their own workforce capability – including re-skilling, up-skilling, certifications, and job shadowing.
