Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?
In my role I’m responsible for creating industry leading solutions to solve our client’s business challenges by leveraging cutting edge technologies in digital and cloud. An average day for me includes working with teams on designing solutions, collaborating with vendor partners to co-create offerings, presenting solutions to win business with client executives/partners, and participating in leadership meetings to define technology strategies and building roadmaps. It’s a complete 360-degree role with a lot of variations which involves building relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, vendor partners, and industry analysts.
What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?
Capgemini has provided me with great career opportunities and has so many things to offer – it’s a really exciting place to work. I really enjoy working with the people who make it special. We collaborate and grow together. What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?
I really think it’s our seven core values that lay the foundation of everything we do here in Capgemini. It makes me really proud. I think that we honestly put those value in action in all areas related to people, processes, and serving our clients. I am very proud of our CSR initiatives, especially those focused on environmental sustainability, reducing our environmental impacts and helping clients to reduce theirs, and digital inclusion in using technology as an enabler for equality. We are actually doing something different here and we are in a position to apply our technology expertise to make the world a better place.
How are you working towards the future you want?
That’s a good question. So many thoughts come to mind, but one thing that I am striving towards is being recognized as a digital transformation leader in the industry. Capgemini has a very vibrant architecture community that provides opportunities and learning paths for career growth that will help me fulfill these plans. It’s is a very supportive and empowering organization. When you raise your hand for a new challenge, you’re supported by leadership in taking the next steps in your career journey.
What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?
The number one piece of advice I have for people joining Capgemini is to start reaching out to other people. Capgemini has a very open-door policy and when you reach out to introduce yourself and your role, people will be welcoming. The other advice is to join the many global communities available through various collaborative channels spanning a range of interests. They provide an opportunity to work with global colleagues across the world. The culture in these communities is very vibrant, open to everyone’s point of view, and provides a good platform to explore your areas of interest.
