Towards an European Framework for the ICT Profession

Publish date:

A new initiative that will propose a comprehensive Framework for the ICT profession in Europe.

The European Commission, EASME and the consortium partners Capgemini Consulting, EY and IDC, kicked off in September 2015 a new initiative that will propose by the end of 2016 a comprehensive Framework for the ICT profession in Europe. This Framework will be an important step to encourage further growth of the knowledge, skills and competences of the European ICT workforce and – people. The initiative will at the same time generate key indicators concerning the evolution of the supply and demand of ICT professionals in Europe, and enable comparison with Japan, Canada and the USA. This will allow to track the effect of the joint efforts of stakeholders in Europe to enhance ICT professionalism.
