Initial signs suggest retail non-cash payments volumes were still growing at the height of the crisis in 2008. However, regulatory and competitive pressures are rising, and banks must act swiftly to determine their preferred positioning in the fast-changing payments value chain, according to research for the upcoming World Payments Report 2010 from Capgemini, Royal Bank of Scotland and Efma.
