IDC predicts that worldwide spending on IoT will grow at a 17% annual rate to nearly $1.3 trillion in 2019. According to the latest CIO TechPoll from IDG, the Internet of Things (or IoT) is considered top-of-mind among CIOs, who say they are either actively researching it or piloting test projects. To better understand what companies are expecting in return for their IoT investments, Capgemini commissioned IDG Research Services to poll IT leaders about the specific goals fueling their IoT plans, as well as the potential of their IoT projects to generate revenue.
