By outsourcing infrastructure services to Capgemini, EDF Energy has been able to reduce cost and increase flexibility, while maintaining and often improving the standard of services to users . EDF Energy estimates that it has saved £22m, as well as reducing internal IT headcount by two-thirds through moving staff to Capgemini and other partners.
