“Our values are very important to us – and are alive in our daily behaviors, in how we work together and with our clients.”

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

My role is about ensuring that Capgemini is perceived as the best partner for data and AI for our clients, our technology partners and, of course, by market and financial analysts. My typical day is filled with interaction time with the teams worldwide on the best content to put in front of our clients and how to further develop our portfolio and assets, also directly with our top clients to understand their key challenges and pain points, or again with innovative partners with whom we want to build solutions. It’s usually very rich, with one common objective: The best content, the best solutions, the best teams in front of our clients.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

People are awesome! We have entrepreneurship and growth in our DNA. Our teams build new things every day. Also – and this is very important – we have excellence in our DNA. Whatever it takes, we deliver. We never let our clients or our teams down. As a consequence, we all get to work on great projects in a variety of sectors, which means it’s absolutely impossible to get bored.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

Our Values are very important to us – and are alive in our daily behaviors, in how we work together and with our clients. They are at the foundations of how we do things, and we increasingly look at the “purpose” angle of our projects with clients. We actively seek to challenge ourselves and our clients to ensure that we get the future we want with technology. In my specific case on data and AI, this means ensuring building ethical and inclusive solutions and cultivating “diversity of thought” internally and with our partners.

How are you working towards the future you want?

By constantly asking myself, “Does this make sense?” It’s about the use cases we work on, the organizational setup we work in, the overall processes, the time we choose to spend on some topics versus others. In order to get the future you want, you need to be very intentional in your daily life – otherwise, “business as usual” may find a way to drive you potentially away from your objectives.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Get to know the people. Build your connections throughout the group, both within your own team and outside. The greatest things can be achieved when we come together. Also, get “in the action” as fast as possible. Build things, content, and contribute to the maximum of your ability. It is the most powerful way to engage and build long-term and fruitful relationships.
