What industry leaders say about the future of remote connectivity in the semiconductor industry

Remote connectivity between equipment providers and fabrication facilities has become a strategic must. But how exactly are industry leaders using this technology? To learn more about the current and coming state of connectivity in semiconductor manufacturing, we teamed up with GSA (Global Semiconductor Alliance). GSA surveyed leaders from across the semiconductor industry, including equipment providers and fabrication facilities (integrated device manufacturers and foundries). The results point to rapid growth of semiconductor remote access, serious challenges, and new opportunities with the potential for considerable impact.

Among the findings:

  • 93% of respondents cite efficiency gains as the #1 adoption driver of remote connectivity.
  • 73% report access to expertise as key driver of remote connectivity.
  • 71% see security as a crucial challenge.
