Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

To me, working at Capgemini is nothing short of exciting. Catching up with colleagues over coffee & attending meetings is something I look forward to at Capgemini – an office that embraces different personalities while creating a great working environment. Capgemini brings a mix of characters and skills to the table, enabling the business to grow in ways unimaginable. Capgemini is a true reflection of a culturally diverse workplace empowering people to develop their talents and skills effectively!

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

Capgemini puts its people first over everything else. It provides flexible and remote working options and encourages productivity rather than hours. It also promotes regular breaks, health activities, and work-life balance by giving employees enough freedom to manage personal, professional, and social aspects of their life.

Many feel that their passion for personal qualities would fade once they join a job. But that’s not the case at Capgemini. This is the place that rekindled my passion for Music & Singing. Today, I am a proud member of Capgemini’s in-house band – Rubber band!

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

Capgemini is a great place to work. It provides a productive environment that promotes creativity and collaboration.

Out of my 21 years of work experience, I have had the most wholesome 15 years with Capgemini! Its strong, people-first values have not only earned the support of employees but also of their families.

I feel empowered to have progressed through six varied roles at Capgemini. During this journey, I have acquired a balanced set of expertise in technology, delivery & people management, which continue to grow. The goal of learning and development at Capgemini is to align employee goals and performance with the organization. These learning programs helped me evolve and climb the ladder through the years – from a Software Consultant to a Senior Director!

How are you working towards the future you want?

Technology is my passion, and no matter how advanced the tech domain gets, it has the power to achieve improvement and growth. I keep exploring the potential of technology to transform business. Thus, staying committed to continuous learning to get the future I want. I have leveraged every learning opportunity at Capgemini – from virtual courses and e-learning modules to rich-media online resources, I have enrolled myself in all. I also believe in learning something from everyone around me, and it has helped my career in ways more than one.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

While the pay and benefits offered by Capgemini are excellent, it is the other factors that bring happiness to employees. Capgemini offers a realistic vision, a future growth path, supportive managers, and co-workers who form your extended family. There is a liberty to express, freedom to explore various roles across business units, diverse work culture, and most importantly, lots of fun activities amidst work.

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

Capgemini launched various measures to support its employees through the pandemic, like remote working, providing family support towards medical & food expenses, conducting vaccination drives, and mental health counseling. Additionally, Capgemini has been at the forefront while fighting the COVID battle by providing dedicated corpus funds for its employees & their families, sponsoring oxygen cylinders & partnering with hospitals that offer COVID care to patients.
