Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

In my crucial role as a Project Manager, I work with our Capgemini team in supporting some of our largest clients globally. I am responsible for sales activities for our Market Research team. My day usually starts by connecting with clients, working on RFPs, and providing appropriate solutions to clients. I am responsible for revenue growth and profitability targets for CPRD accounts, providing excellent customer service, building relationships, and understanding clients’ needs. My role requires me to interact and navigate client engagements across a wide range of countries and cultures.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

Capgemini’s work culture is transparent and supportive, which I admire. In my ten years of service at Capgemini, I’ve always been fortunate to work with understanding and compassionate team members. I can proudly say that my teammates and managers always have my back. When I resumed office post my maternity leaves, my warm and empathetic team welcomed me, made me feel comfortable, and gave me enough time to settle back in. Work from home – a style of working that people have adopted for the last 10-12 months – is not new to me; Capgemini gave me the flexibility to work from home after my first child was born.

At Capgemini, I get to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, allowing me to push myself to new goals. My work presents me with many opportunities, helping me learn various nuances of research and sales techniques from time to time. Each of my travel assignments has made me more open to different cultures. All this has boosted my confidence to go out and be the face of Capgemini.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I take immense pride in Capgemini’s core values. These principles not only serve as a guide for how we should conduct ourselves, but they also stimulate positive behavior. How are you working towards the future you want?

Learning never stops at any age or in any job profile. Capgemini supported me in achieving my Six Sigma Green Belt certification. While managing my job, I have also been able to complete my post-graduation. But no matter how much we learn, there will always be more ways to grow and develop. Our L&D team ensures we have various training modules available to keep the learning going.

How do you think Capgemini’s support has been since the pandemic began?

In May 2021, I contracted COVID-19, and the care I received from the Capgemini family was incredible. I was able to receive prompt online doctor consultations in addition to a hassle-free two-week paid leave. My coworkers were understanding and helped me with my burden while I was recuperating. The organization was also proactive and extremely helpful in arranging on-campus vaccinations for all its colleagues and their families.
