Himani has two roles. She is responsible for managing the tools used by her team to monitor both Capgemini’s internal infrastructure and the applications used on our intranet. She also analyzes data generated by the tools. This data provides information to stakeholders about the services that they receive.

What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

Sometimes I need to troubleshoot issues with the tools. Sometimes I have to provide analysis to stakeholders and make sure that the tool is working properly and collecting data correctly.

What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

The best thing about Capgemini is that you feel like you’re working in your own organization because of the flexible work hours, because of great managers, and because of great teammates.

Because Capgemini cares so much about its employees we are able to give them the best possible support for the betterment of the company.

One thing that has helped me in my career is the positive environment around me, I’m very influenced by the people and the type of people around me and I’m very thankful that I’ve had the best colleagues, the best employees and the best coworkers and team members to work with.

What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I have received much exposure as this is my first job. I received the Women For The Future award in just four years, so I am truly grateful and proud.

Capgemini has also given me the opportunity to develop myself to help improve the situation for young graduates. The company has also helped me to improve my strengths and work on my weaknesses.

How are you working towards the future you want?

In 2020, I’ve explored Coursera and Pluralsight during the lockdown to familiarize myself with technical things, because it was only one and a half years since I joined CG. I figured out that we can have everything at just the tips of our fingers, thanks to Capgemini. I have begun to develop my skills in the area in which I want to work.

What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Recently my cousin was selected to join Capgemini. She called me – excited – to tell me the good news. I was overjoyed. I said, “you are in the right place , this is the best place to start your career”.

But one thing that I would tell anyone joining Capgemini is that there are a lot of opportunities that the organization can give you, but you need to be able to use these opportunities. It’s up to you how much you want to grow. If you limit yourself to your project, your growth will be limited. If you go ahead and look forward to the opportunities that the company can give you in terms of learning and development, CSR activities, fun and games and cultural activities, the more you explore, the more you will grow.

Your only limit is you. Go ahead and look forward to the opportunities that Capgemini can give you.
