The World Climate Summit is the leading global forum in which private and public actors meet to discuss and present business and investment-driven solutions to climate change. This year’s summit took place during the COP 25 (Conference of Parties) on the 8th December in Madrid.
The event was compensated at 200% of our delegation real carbon spending’s to prepare the event and logistics, travel to the event and the return journey. The carbon impact of our trip was estimated at 9.5 tons and we chose Offset Earth to plant 1000 trees and offset 20 tons of carbon – cf. Offset Earth invests in projects that remove more greenhouse gasses than what our own carbon footprint puts in, with Gold Standard certification.
The event took place in the middle of the COP 25, where more than 30 000 people were expected including:
- Global C-Level Stakeholders (Engie, Bouygues, Intel, and many others),
- C-suite Executives from Key Financial Institutions,
- Leading Government Figures and their Negotiators,
- Public, Private, Multilateral, and Philanthropic Investors,
- Pioneering Technology and Project Developers,
- Thought-Leaders and Climate Industry Experts,
- Renowned Academics
Through the event and the surrounding communications program, we shared our expertise in areas including electric vehicles, smart cities and renewable energy, while showing how we have collaborated with clients to make their businesses more sustainable. We were also panelists during three important sessions.
Session 1. Building Smart Cities – The Role of Net- Zero Technologies
How are new technologies bringing urban life into balance with nature? What are the current advances in the energy and environmental performance of buildings towards a more sustainable building environment? With cities consuming 70% of the world’s energy, how can building renovations and electrification of transport help us reach the Paris Agreement goals? How are IoT and digitization transforming cities?

Session 2. Electrifying Mobility – Game Changer for Communications, Cities, and Transport
