Architecture

Being an architect, for me, means moving between technology and people.

– How do you feel in the morning getting up and going to work at Capgemini?

When I get up in the morning, I look forward to the challenges in my project and to direct contact with my customer. We work closely and trustingly with each other. It’s fun!  Besides, my Capgemini colleagues are great, I have found some of my best friends here.

– What do you love about being an architect?

Being an architect, for me, means moving between technology and people. You are the interface between the systems; you must have a quick grasp and be good at communication.

– How does Capgemini empower you to master your skills as an architect?

Right from the start, I worked with my manager to make a plan of what skills I still need or need to improve, and I use it to attend training courses and certifications. In the last 2.5 years, I learned most of the tools and things I needed and, when I found something interesting, my manager always supported me.

– How does Capgemini help support a sense of purpose in your career?

Currently, I am working with my client to make his websites accessible, understandable, and usable for people with disabilities. I see a lot of purpose in my work, especially in such topics as accessibility.

– How does Capgemini give you the autonomy to make decisions?

I think it’s a lot about trust at Capgemini. My manager, my colleagues, my client, and also I have trust in my abilities. That empowers me to tackle and master even the biggest challenges.

– What do you love about the way of working at Capgemini?

When I started at Capgemini in 2016, I wasn’t sure how the seven values would affect my work and the way work is done here in general. By now, I know that the values of Freedom, Trust, and Team Spirit are really lived in the way we work with each other. I really appreciate the fact that I can ask everyone for help and advice here, no matter their grade.

– How does this all combine for you to have passion for what you do?

Since I am a communicative person with a passion for technology, I can combine my skills and interests at Capgemini and work with others to improve products. I like to work independently; I want people to trust me and my skills. That’s exactly what I experience here.

– What was the most memorable moment in your Capgemini journey?

I joined Capgemini in 2016 as a working student. My manager at the time saw early on that I was bringing a skill set with me, but I needed experience in working with clients. Nevertheless, she took me to customer workshops quite early, let me work independently, and showed me confidence and appreciation.  This early experience has shaped me and my wish to start my career at Capgemini.
