The findings of this year’s World Quality Report show that the demand for Testing is expanding in scope and shifting towards more specialized Testing, i.e. Mobility Testing, cloud based Testing platforms and increased industrialization. More and more, Testing is becoming an integral element of Quality Driven Application Development.

Stable and reliable software applications are now critical to the business operations of most organizations. Yet the lack of confidence uncovered in the World Quality Report among senior executives in their own organization’s internal capabilities to monitor and test the quality of their software is resounding, particularly when it comes to mobile applications.  Global firms nowadays need to deliver continuous access, anytime and anywhere, often to thousands of employees and sometimes millions of customers, over different types of mobile devices.  The World Quality Report found that many are struggling with the challenges that this brings. Increasingly, QA teams will need to seriously rethink their integrated testing strategies, covering traditional and new, mobile, application, to keep up with the demands of their users.
